Established over 30 years ago, Wasatch Brewery & Utah Brewers Cooperative paved the way for the Utah craft beer scene, despite the strict state laws allowing such establishments to exist. Located in Park City, the brewpub was the first of its kind in the state, and today is enjoying wide popularity with its attitude-filled brews that are inspired by local culture. Founded in 1986 by Greg Schirf, the company currently operates five brewpubs and a wine and ale house with a wealth of award-winning brews that are well-known all over the state. Signature beers include the Polygamy Porter: a dark, brown porter whose name plays on Utah’s history of polygamy in the 19th century, and the light, crisp German pilsner, Provo Girl. Wasatch draft and packaged beers are available in several states across the country.
