This tour features five different zip lines ranging in length from 300 feet all the way up to a massive 2,800 feet, and the full tour is led by trained, friendly, experienced guides who are eager and willing to share fascinating facts about the local area and answer any questions you could have, as well as ensuring that everyone feels perfectly safe and content while riding the zip lines.

Just a short drive outside of Austin we have the Cypress Valley Canopy Tours. Providing unparalleled views of the Spicewood area, this zip line tour really lets you get up close and personal with nature, zipping from tree to tree at super high speeds.

The full tour is comprised of five zip lines, as well as a pair of sky bridges and a rappel, and the whole thing is led by friendly guides who provide a welcoming introductory talk and tutorial on the zip line equipment before setting off. Even guests who've never ziplined before will slowly grow in confidence over the course of the tour and have a whole lot of fun speeding about along the lines.

Then, at the end of the tour, everyone has the chance to test their courage and go down the final rappel to get their feet back on solid ground, but there's also an easier way down for guests who prefer to avoid the rappel. Either way, it's an exciting, adventurous zip line tour and is classed as one of the best in Texas. The recommended minimum age for this zip line tour is 10 and there's a strict minimum weight limit of 70 pounds. The maximum weight limit is 250 pounds.

Located just south-east of Austin, not far from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Zip Lost Pines is another of Texas' greatest zip line operators. This company runs various ziplining events throughout the year, celebrating special occasions in various ways, as well as running its own excellent zip line tour.

The tour lasts for up to three hours in total and has the unique distinction of being made up entirely of side-by-side zip lines. This is the only tour in Texas to offer such a feature, and it's a great one. Side-by-side zip lines allow you to race through the skies alongside a friend, partner, or family member, adding a little competitive edge to the ziplining fun. The full Zip Lost Pines tour provides six zip lines and three sky bridges, offering stunning views of the surrounding forests and Colorado River.

This tour also features zip lines with passive-breaking systems, allowing visitors to simply relax and enjoy the ride rather than worrying about slowing themselves down manually, and the zip lines themselves can measure up to 1,315 feet. For this tour, all participants must weigh at least 60 pounds and at most 250 pounds, and there's also a minimum height requirement of 52 inches.
