Allen is a fast growing city in the Dallas northern suburbs established originally as a railroad town. It is home to a Collin College campus and very dynamic Allen High School that has its own football stadium, the largest of its kind serving only one school. Allen is the city where it is easy to stay active, with generally sunny weather, lot of green areas and something always going on at the popular Allen Event Center. Owned and operated by the Allen Independent School District, Eagle Stadium is a football stadium in Allen, Texas and home of the Allen High School Eagles. The opening game in August 2012 was between Allen Eagles and Southlake Carroll, the defending 5A state champions. Allen won 24-0 and won the title later that year. The Eagles have not lost a single game played at their stadium. The stadium is known for its size – it can accommodate 18,000 spectators. It is the largest stadium in Texas that serves only one high school. Beneath the grandstand are spaces for wrestling, a weight room and a golf simulator practice area.
