Review & FAQ:
Holy City Brewing began when business partners in the rickshaw industry in Charleston looked for something to do during the off-season. This led to a 15-gallon, all-grain pilot system, a friend with a warehouse, and another friend who was a full-time brewer and had gone to professional brewing school. The brewery opened in 2011 and they now have dozens of beers, including IPAs, Belgian dark ales, fruit/vegetable beers, American stouts, American wheat ales, American adjunct lagers, German Pilsners, Saisons/farmhouse ales, and more. At any given moment, over a dozen brews will be on tap in the taproom. Holy City Brewing also distributes beer to a long list of local businesses, including pubs, restaurants, and stores. For those who choose to visit the tap room with children, they also have house-made non-alcoholic sodas with a rotating selection.
