John Tigard House is a home built in 1880 for John Tigard and his family in Tigard, Oregon. Tigard was the son of the town’s founder Wilson Tigard. The house was designed in Queen Anne style and changed owners a few times, before it started to deteriorate by 1970. To preserve it as a historic treasure, a group of locals formed the Tigard Historical Association and moved the house in 1978 from its original location along Oregon Route 99W to its present location. They restored the house, registered it on the National Register of Historic Places and opened it to the public as a house museum. The house has been used for a variety of events, such as an apple harvest festival in September 2007. In 2008 the museum hosted an exhibition of the collection of toys from the 1930s to the 1970s.
