The Prehistoric Gardens, located off of the Oregon Coast Highway, first opened to the public in 1955. A self-guided tour of the gardens takes guests down gravel paths winding through a setting of coastal rainforest and past more than twenty life-size dinosaur replicas. From the little baby triceratops to the towering brachiosaurus, these statues provide bright, vivid colors to the otherwise green and brown coastal forest. Just outside of Gold Beach, this eye-opening, interesting, and fun tourist attraction is a great place to stop for a bit along the Oregon Coast for both children and adults alike.
