The mountainous and rugged landscape is one of the most distinctive features of the state of Oregon. These peaks have helped to form numerous hot springs, one of the most elusive and alluring attractions in the West. The steaming pools provide both Oregonians and visitors alike with an opportunity to recharge and relax in some of the best mineral-enriched waters in Oregon. Scattered throughout the state’s beautiful and scenic surroundings, there are many different hot springs for people to enjoy, from popular spots like the Umpqua Hot Springs to unique and remote ones such as the Ritter Hot Springs. CDC information for travelers. Hours/availability may have changed.

The McCredie Hot Springs were at one time the site of a resort during the early twentieth century, but are now a roadside primitive hot spring. Spanning both sides of the Salt Creek, these hot springs offer an array of spots for a relaxing soak. The day-use only, clothing-optional hot springs contain water of temperatures up to 130 degrees near their source. There’s cold running water of the creek nearby, however, mixed with the soaking spots to provide visitors with more comfortable temperatures as well. The McCredie Hot Springs are moderately popular and can get full during the weekends.
