Toledo Botanical Garden is an arboretum and botanical garden in Toledo that encompasses more than 50 acres and features over 60 acres of display gardens and relevant plant collections. Operated by the Metroparks of the Toledo Area, Toledo Botanical Garden was established to inspire and nurture the joy of horticulture and nature and is open free to the public daily. The Garden offers a variety of educational programs, hands-on plant exploration and pioneer living activities for visitors of all ages, also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the Crosby Festival of Arts, Heralding the Holidays, and the Jazz in the Park Garden Concert Series. Notable gardens include the Susan H. LeCron Shade Garden with its magnificent hosta collection, the Pioneer garden, the Herb Garden, the Rose Garden, the Perennial garden, and the Green garden. Toledo Botanical Garden also features a two-acre urban farm where visitors can learn more about farming in an urban environment.
