The Loeb Boathouse is a romantic and tranquil haven in the heart of New York City’s cherished Central Park. Surrounded by the beautiful green land and waterscapes of Central Park, the Loeb Boathouse offers a one-of-a-kind venue for special celebrations and occasions. Set on the shores of the park’s lake and created to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding environment, The Loeb Boathouse offers a beautifully appointed venue with stunning lake views for romantic and private events. Designed and built in 1872 by Central Park landscape architect Calvert Vaux, the boathouse was initially a two-story Victorian, wooden structure that was 12 by 20 feet long, which was later replaced by a larger structure, which still stands today. The current Loeb Boathouse was designed by Chief Park designer Stuart Constable and officially opened in 1954 and has since become a landmark restaurant and unique venue for private events.
