The house has a spacious living room with a sleeper sofa for extra guests, armchairs, and gleaming pine floors, and a fully equipped kitchen offers all the amenities and appliances for comfortable holiday living.
Named after Grandpa Hull and located just up the hill from the main house, the Austin House is a lovely two-story country chalet with two floors of comfortable living spaces. The first floor features two bedrooms with one queen and one bunk bed, a full bathroom with shower, bathtub, fresh towels and organic bath products, an airy living room with a futon sleeper couch, and a cozy dining area with a microwave and small fridge. The second floor of the house has one bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, a living room with a sleeper sofa for additional guests, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a full bathroom with shower, bathtub, fresh towels and organic bath products. The second-floor deck boasts beautiful views of Durham Valley.
Located within walking distance of the barns, the Gifford House is a cheery, two-story country home that was named in honor of Grandma Hull and features four bedrooms with queen, double and twin beds, two bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area with a wood-burning stove and a private deck that overlooks the meadows.
A hearty farm-style breakfast is served every morning in the charming 19th-century dining room and includes farm-fresh fare such as cereals, homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, hot entrées, all-natural grass fed meats and egg dishes, freshly brewed artisan coffee and organic teas.
Amenities and Recreation
After a delicious farm-style breakfast every morning, the farm is packed with amenities and activities to enjoy, ranging from helping with farm chores like collecting eggs and feeding rabbits to helping with the milking of the cows. The farm offers much to do in the way of outdoor recreation, such as fishing in the farm pond, hayrides on the tractor, exploring the countryside on easy hikes, getting ‘lost’ the corn maze and singing songs by the bonfire. Local attractions nearby the farm include horseback riding, water fun at the Zoom Flume Water Park, and delving into the pre-historic underground caves of Howe Caverns.
