Colson Patisserie in Brooklyn is definitely a New Yorker’s haven for homemade French and Belgian breakfast pastries, tarts and other desserts. It’s an official outpost of the original patisserie in Mons, Belgium with the same name. Seating in this popular bakery appears to be quite limited, but fortunately Brooklyn has two locations for this go-to for sweet treats and sandwiches, namely in Park Slope and Industry City. Either place, customers can help themselves with any of the items in their wide selection of pastries on any of the copper-topped tables while being surrounded by local art. The caramelized onion quiche and brioche suisses come highly recommended. Of course, don’t forget to take it with a nice cup of the patisserie’s coffee, which has been hailed by many as one of the best in the area.
The bakery has different menus for the two locations, but they more or less have the same items, only subject to availability.
