Opened in 2004 under the name ICI, the now renamed restaurant Maison May in Brooklyn opened its doors in 2004 as both a restaurant and cafe during the day and a delightful private dining space at night. There are two parts to Maison May. There is Maison May Dekalb, which is a combo restaurant as well as a private event venue. Patrons can enjoy dining or hold private events in this beautiful brownstone.
The second floor features the Parlor Room, which is where guests can hold private events while enjoying specially crafted menus from the kitchen of Maison May.
The second part of Maison May is Maison May Vanderbilt, which is considered the central piece of Maison May and is also an extension of the owner Catherine May’s home. Vanderbilt is a cafe by day offering delicious locally sourced food while serving as a private event space at night. The vibe at Vanderbilt is personable, open, and inviting. There is a strict no-laptop policy here so that guests can focus on enjoying the food and their company.
