The Jersey Shore is a popular summer destination for many people in the New England region of the United States, however, it can sometimes be better to pick a destination a bit off the beaten path. This is where the town of Ringwood, New Jersey comes in, home to just around 12, 000 people in a 28-square-mile space. Referred to as “an oasis within commuting distance” by the New York Times, Ringwood offers an ideal escape from the city and a variety of things to do, including several attractions within Ringwood State Park alone. Certain attractions may be temporarily closed or require advance reservations. Some restaurants are currently offering pickup only. Hours/availability may have changed.
