The charming town of Ringoes, New Jersey is the oldest known settlement in all of Hunterdon County, providing visitors with a chance to step back into the past. Old York Road is home to numerous buildings dating back to the 1700s, while the Black River and Western Railroad provides exciting rides aboard an authentic steam engine from 1937, as well as special themed train rides during the holidays. For wine enthusiasts, Ringoes is also home to the Unionville Vineyards, an award-winning winery featuring preserved farmland and a cozy tasting room. Certain attractions may be temporarily closed or require advance reservations. Some restaurants are currently offering pickup only. Hours/availability may have changed.

The Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, New Jersey is a boutique winery and fine wine producer, home to almost sixty acres of vines spread across three different counties, including the charming and pastoral Hunterdon County. The winery produces site-specific, terroir-driven wines, including a number of single-vineyard bottlings. Wine varieties are focused on those native to Rhone and Burgundy, such as Viognier, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. Unionville Vineyards is open daily for wine tastings from noon until 5:00pm, and also offers vineyard walks and public winery tours at 2:30 in the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Black River and Western Railroad is operated by the Black River Railroad Historical Trust in Ringoes, New Jersey. The historical organization has been offering visitors and locals alike a chance to take a scenic train ride along the historic railroad for more than fifty years. Along with the normal train excursions, the Black River Railroad Historical Trust also provides many special events throughout the year, such as the Easter Bunny Express, the Story Time Express, the Pumpkin Junction excursion, and the North Pole Express. Family-friendly events on the railroad also include the Corn Maze trains and the Three Bridges Excursions.

Tabby's Place: A Cat Sanctuary is a unique place in the town of Ringoes. This cage-free sanctuary provides a refuge for cats that unfortunately find themselves in “hopeless situations.” The resident cats primarily come from a number of public shelters where they had been scheduled for euthanasia. This unique facility includes a hospice center for offering a loving environment and palliative care, a hospital for surgical and medical treatment for injured or sick cats, and an adoption center. It’s also possible for visitors to take a free tour of Tabby's Place: A Cat Sanctuary during certain days and hours.
