1.TD Bank Ballpark
Home ground of the Somerset Patriots, the TD Ballpark in Bridgewater is a must on your New Jersey itinerary. The Somerset Patriots play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, and can be seen in action at the ballpark at least 70 times a year. The wine colored brickwork and green steel façade of the ballpark make it a prominent landmark in Somerset County, where upwards of 6,000 spectators can come and cheer on their home team. In addition to watching baseball, visitors also attend regular major music concerts and other events at the ballpark. During the Covid 19 pandemic the ballpark has been hosting family outdoor movie nights.

2.Duke Island Park

Bridgewater residents and visitors are fortunate to have the Duke Island Park close to their city. The park provides a range of recreational activities to keep all ages actively enjoying an outdoor adventure. Visitors are encourages to stop by the Visitors Center where you can get all the information you need to enhance your enjoyment of the park. Many people bring along a picnic to enjoy at one of five picnic areas, one of which is suitable for wheelchairs. Activities include walking or hiking along the trails, cycling and fishing in the Raritan River, which partially surrounds the park. Winter activities include supervised ice skating and cross-country skiing.

3.Washington Valley Park

Washington Valley Park is a popular recreational area which lies nestled between the first and second Watchung Mountain ridges close to Bridgewater. Hiking and mountain biking are the most popular activities in the park – you have at least 8 trails to choose from, ranging from easy to moderate. There is a large reservoir on the park which offers good fishing from the shoreline. From August to November each year hundreds of bird watchers gather at the Washington Valley Hawk Watch to observe and record thousands of migrating raptors including hawks, osprey, falcons and bald eagles. When conditions are perfect it is not unusual for birders to spot up to 10,000 raptors in a single day.
