Located on the beautiful New Jersey Coast, less than 90mins south of NYC, Brick Township has a variety of enjoyable activities to offer visitors. First and foremost, the beaches and waterways surrounding the town offer wonderful opportunities for water sports of all kinds – novices can sign up for lessons to get them started. You can combine bird watching with kayaking on the coastal waterways and there is also a large lake adjoining the city where you can go fishing or hiking. To escape the stresses of the city you can try Float Therapy at the True Rest Float Spa or SUP Yoga and Meditation at Midstream rentals. CDC information for travelers. While the main purpose of the Brick Township Reservoir is to provide water for Brick and Wall townships, it also serves as a popular recreational area for local residents and visitors. The reservoir was built on what was once a gravel pit and when completely full it covers about 90 acres. Walkers, joggers and dog-walkers will find a very pleasant and well-maintained gravel trail running around the perimeter of the reservoir. The trail is about 2.6km long and there are benches where you can rest and admire the views. Fishing is also popular on the reservoir and fishing stations have been built to accommodate fishermen. There are restrooms and plenty of parking at the start of the trail.
