Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Coach Stop is located in a building built back in 1810 and is one of the town’s oldest standing structures. During the structure’s early year, the original 12-room colonial was Dr. Watson’s homestead. It was converted during the 1800’s into a tavern, acting as a stop for stagecoaches. The McDonough Family bought the property in 1990 and opened it as “The Homestead,” with the name changing to The Coach Stop Restaurant and Tavern twenty years later. Visitors today can get a look at the past while dining on fresh seafood and hand-cut steaks, as well as homemade soups and desserts.
