Located in downtown Asheville, Lexington Glassworks is the region's premier glassblowing studio and gallery. The 5,000-square foot working studio features high-quality custom-made lighting, an array of handmade glass works and a bar/taproom that serves local craft beers and brews in the beautiful hand-blown glass. Lexington Glassworks is one of the Southeast's most renowned arts destination and offers an open-door policy where visitors can watch glassblowers at work while enjoying a beer at the bar/taproom, followed by perusing the showroom for a piece of original and unique glass.
Lexington Glassworks is owned by two friends who bring decades worth of glassblowing experience, arts management, and travel experiences to the fore. Graduates of the internationally acclaimed Alfred University, Billy, and Geoff, spent many years studying with some of the best glass artists and technicians in the world and managing a nationally regarded glass blowing studio in the Southwest. The gallery is filled with pieces that have been meticulously designed and hand-crafted by the two friends and owners, showcasing their combined commitment to producing only the best quality of hand-blown glass.
Lexington Glassworks hosts a range of collaborative events throughout the year, most notably a monthly Glassworks Concert Series, where visitors can foster relationships with artists and producers of different creative mediums, ranging from local craft brews and music to arts and crafts.
Lexington Glassworks is located at 81 South Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville and is open to the public from Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
