The city of Burton, Michigan is a suburb of Flint in Genesee County, once home to trappers and Native Americans many years ago. The original settlers of the town came from the New York towns of Henderson and Adams and the area was known as the Atherton settlement for around twenty years. Burton, and the surrounding Genesee County, today offers several things to do, ranging from shopping at the Courtland Center Mall to dining at Tia Helita's to hands-on history and science exhibits at the Sloan Museum.
