Every Saturday, visitors and local residents alike can catch such shows, and if they don’t know French, it’s not a problem. The artists who perform at the Liberty Theater speak in both French and English. The admission to the show, which is a live radio show, at one of the most iconic concert halls in Louisiana is reasonably priced, as well as the drinks and popcorn.

The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice, Louisiana is perhaps the best place for visitors to learn about the rich Cajun and Acadian culture of the region. A number of displays covering a variety of aspects of the area’s artwork, cuisine, musical culture, and Cajun life can be seen throughout the center. On Saturdays, visitors can also experience many different Cajun cooking demonstrations, crafts, and music. While there is no fee for admission to the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, donations are always appreciated and a donation box can be found near the entrance to the cultural center.

Housed inside the building that served as the “Birthplace of Eunice” in 1893 to 1894, the Eunice Depot Museum specializes in Cajun culture. It was at this site that C.C. Duson named the small town after his wife and sold the first sites of land. The old depot building was converted into a museum in 1984 and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its historic significance to the area. Collections at the Eunice Depot Museum include Louisiana Indian life, Cajun life, pioneer farming, Cajun Mardi Gras history, railroad items, old toys, and Cajun music.
