Denham Springs owed its popularity to the mineral-rich natural springs which drew visitors from near and far during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today visitors come to Denham Springs to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities which include river rafting and tubing, hiking in the Frenchtown Road Conservation Area or walking in Willow Woods Park. Antique hunters will enjoy treasure hunting at the Theatre Antiques Mall or Heritage House Antiques. You can visit Pontchartrain to enjoy a wine tasting or take the children to have fun at Kids Korner Playland. After a busy day of exploring you can enjoy a fabulous Cajun dinner at Don’s Seafood or Walk-on’s Bistreaux and Bar. CDC information for travelers. Hours/availability may have changed.

Founded in 1991 by wine maker John Seagro, Pontchartrain Vineyards strive to produce the ideal range of wines to suit the culture and tastes of Southeastern Louisiana. To this end wines are produced from estate grapes grown in the vineyards as well as from premium grape varietals from select west coast vineyards. Visitors are welcome to stop by for a classic tasting, comprising a flight of Pontchartrain wines in the relaxed atmosphere of the Tasting Room, located adjacent to the vineyards. Kidz Korner Playland came about when the Pilot Club of Denham Springs sponsored a softball game for a handicapped team, only to find that the necessary special facilities to accommodate handicapped children were sadly lacking. After several years of fund-raising, and collaboration between the Pilot Club and the City of Denham Springs, the Kidz Korner Playland opened in March 2011. This ground-breaking play facility enables children of all abilities to play together, an essential step in their development. The play park is open to all children of all abilities and you are welcome to use the park for your child’s next birthday party at no cost.

Using the distinctive traits of hard-work and determination, learned as a college basketball walk-on’s to build their brand, Brandon Landry and Jack Warner established their first Sports Bar in 2003. Since then the concept has won multiple awards and a franchise has been established, with multiple branches all across the south. The original concept of the Sports Bar has remained true over the years and you can anticipate a menu full of delicious and authentic Louisiana cuisine, all made from scratch using fresh wholesome ingredients. A few of the menu highlights include Voodoo Shrimp and Grits, Louisiana Combo (shrimp, catfish, crawfish, hush puppies) and a selection of flavorsome sandwiches, soups, salads and burgers.
