Jared Coffin House is a stately brick mansion built in 1845 that consists of a variety of rooms. It is located right in the town of Nantucket, Massachusetts for easy access to many amenities including shops, museums, and galleries.

There are larger rooms available to accommodate families and give them more space. Rooms are located in both the Main House mansion and the Daniel Webster house.

The Main House is closed between October 30th and April 8th, and all guests are booked in the Daniel Webster house. Each room has its own bathroom and relaxed, coastal style décor to add to the ambience of staying in a former whaling town.

At Jared Coffin House, guests can indulge in upscale island steakhouse dining at Nantucket Prime. They serve up wet and dry aged steaks, local seafood, and produce and even feature a raw bar. Guests can reserve a spot at the six-person Chef’s Table for an exciting dining experience and a seven-course meal.

There are many wines and fine cocktails on offer to accompany your meal. The attire is casual, but no bathing suit attire is permitted. It is recommended to make reservations during the summer months.

Nantucket Prime serves wines and cocktails for guests to enjoy at Jared Coffin House. However, if guests would like further selection, there are a few Nantucket bars or lounges to consider. The Grey Lady is a casual bar located on Nantucket Island that serves local seafood, which is ideal if guests are looking for a flavor of the local cuisine. If guests would like a bar with a little excitement and music, Muse is a good choice. It is a laid back bar with live bands and a dance floor where you can dance the night away. It is located a short drive away from the resorts. Meursault is only a short distance away and is an elegant wine and cheese bar—perfect for a romantic after dinner drink. It has an old-world charm with stone detailing and a candlelight ambience.

All guests at Jared Coffin House have access to the spa at sister hotel, The White Elephant.

Guests can enjoy a special golf package for the local Miacomet Golf Course on Nantucket Island. Miacomet is the island’s only public 18 hole golf course. It is located one mile from the ocean and only three miles to town. It is a link style course and has multiple tees, which caters to golfers of all skill level, from beginner to veterans.

Alternatively, Sankaty Head Golf Club, which is a private club, offers the public an opportunity to play a round or two in the off-season from October to May for a fee. It opened in 1923 and is a world-class course, ranked in the top 100 of all courses in America. It is located on the edge of the island to the east in Siasconet.

Children staying at Jared Coffin House will receive a Nantucket Kids’ Adventure Guide and a kids coloring book briefcase, and they can participate in a scavenger hunt with prizes.

In the Nantucket Prime restaurant during Sunday brunch, there is a kid’s corner complete with kid-friendly favorites as well as an ice cream cart. The restaurant also provides kids with sippy cups for all of their meals should they need one.

Guests can enjoy some of the complimentary services at Jared Coffin House, such as beach umbrellas and chairs and Wi-Fi access throughout the property. Additionally, guests can use the courtesy cars to explore the area. In the morning, coffee and pastries are served to all guests. They also offer afternoon snacks.
