The Falls of the Ohio State Park is located along the banks of the Ohio River, where it forms part of the larger Falls of Ohio National Wildlife Conservation Area. The main draw-card of the park is the largest exposed Devonian fossil beds on the planet, which date back to 416 -358 million years ago. Visitors are advised to start their tour of the park at the Interpretive Center, where immersive and interactive exhibits will set the scene for viewing the fossil beds. Other on-site activities include hiking the fossil beds, wildlife watching, visiting the George Rogers Clark Home site, fishing, picnicking and further geological explorations.

The Colgate Clock is hard to miss. This prominent Clarksville landmark is located at the former Colgate-Palmolive factory, where it continues to be one of the largest clocks on the planet. The massive 40+ foot diameter clock first sprang to life in Clarksville in November 1924 and has been illuminating the city every since. The best vantage point for viewing this historic timepiece is actually located across the river in Louisville, Kentucky. Interestingly, the future of this historic clock is somewhat uncertain as Colgate-Palmolive have moved their production facility and the building on which the clock is erected is currently not covered by the Historic Landmarks Foundation. Come and see it while you still can.
