Eaglewood Resort and Spa is located about 30 miles away from Chicago in the suburb of Itasca, Illinois. The resort has, in additional their full-service spa, a fitness center, indoor pool, a bowling alley, multiple dining experiences and a wide variety of recreation and activities for guests to enjoy.
The Eaglewood has just under 300 accommodations available for overnight stays. Guests can choose from deluxe rooms, golf rooms, junior suites, and rooftop suites.
The deluxe and golf guest rooms offer guests the choice of a single, king size bed or two queen size beds (all fit with pillowtop mattresses). Each room type also has a small, walk-out balcony and oversized workstations.
The junior suites are spacious in size with oversized workstations featuring high-speed internet access. Each suite has a private balcony. All feature king size beds.
The largest suites at the Eaglewood are the rooftop suites which have king size beds and oversized personal decks. These suites also have large, separate living areas and dining tables that seat up to six.
ADA Accessible Rooms
The Eaglewood offers multiple ADA accessible accommodations - 6 king deluxe rooms, five king golf rooms, two king golf rooms with a roll-in shower and one penthouse golf room with a roll-in shower.
All ADA accessible accommodations include shower benches/shower bars.
Guest room amenities include a flat screen television and guest access to the wireless internet. They also have an in-room safe and terry cloth bathrobes for use during the stay.
Suite amenities include access to an iHome station, bathrobes for use during the stay, a hair dryer, a flat screen television with 47 cable television channels including 36 high definition television channels, and an in-room safe.
Recreation and Activities
The Eaglewood resort offers a range of recreation and activities for guests.
Resort guests can swim in the indoor, naturally heated pool, which offers 23 meters of lap space.
They also have a fitness center, which has three different fitness studios as well as a private, fitness suite. Each studio focuses on a different fitness experience, from classes to non-traditional and traditional exercise machines (fitness room one has over 25 of them).
One other fun activity to do while visiting the resort is to get a round of bowling in at Kegler’s Bowling Alley. Kegler’s features six retro style, cosmic bowling lanes as well as darts, billiards, and private parties.
The Eaglewood also offers many different seasonal activities, including Oktoberfest, musical festivals, and more.
There are a variety of different dining options for guests staying at the Eaglewood.
Prairie River Fire Pit and Patio offers guests dining outside on the patio, with views of the golf course. The menu features a rotating, seasonal American menu made from scratch daily. It also has a full-service bar serving beer and cocktails. Prairie River is open for both lunch and dinner.
Burnham’s Restaurant offers buffets with an international theme for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant also has an interactive open “show” kitchen where guests can design their meals and experience. Burnham’s also allows resort guests to dine outside on the patio.
Guests visiting Kegler’s Bowling Alley can also enjoy homemade salads, sandwiches, pizza, or a drink from the bowling alley’s full-service bar. They are open seven days a week.
Ogden’s Lobby Bar offers guests creative, feature martinis, local beer, and artisanal wines alongside a menu of small plates. They are open in the evenings, seven days a week.
Finally. The Market is situated in the lobby of the Eaglewood and serves up both cold and hot meals including smoothies, sandwiches, and pastries. The Market also allows resort guests to order food ahead of time for pick-up, or to have it sent directly to their guest room or suite.
The Eaglewood has its on-site spa that features a full line of treatments for not only women but also men and children. Treatments can be purchased for both body and nails and are often changed seasonally. Amenities in the spa include a relaxation room, locker rooms, rooms specifically for couple’s massage, salt lamps in each treatment room, and a retail boutique where guests can purchase some of the products used during their treatments. Spa packages can be personalized for each guest. Appointments are strongly encouraged ahead of a spa visit.
The Eaglewood resort also is home to a championship golf course. The course is par 72 and is certified by the USGA. It offers both private as well as group lessons, golf outings, and other golf packages. The course also has its pro shop that sells both men’s and women’s golf equipment, apparel, and other merchandise.
