The Idaho Botanical Garden is one of Idaho's premiere outdoor venues, located on 50 beautiful acres on the site of the former Old Idaho State Penitentiary farm and nursery. The nonprofit gardens, which were created in 1984, are nestled within the base of Boise's foothills and provide a stunning backdrop for couples' special days year-round. Large and small gatherings can be accommodated, including unique wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsals, and bachelor and bachelorette parties. Amazing natural scenery makes for unique sites for vows and wedding photography, which can be arranged at sites such as the facility's Meditation and English Gardens and canopy plaza. Indoor reception space is also available at the venue's greenhouse, which can be rented rain or shine.
