The Basque Center was originally constructed in 1949, known as a primary community gathering space for Basque people throughout the Boise region. The center is known as the home of the Boiseko Gazteak and Oinkari Basque Dancers dance troupes, Txantxangorriak musical group, and San Inazio Basque street festival each July. Couples can rent the center's facilities for traditional Basque or secular modern weddings, receptions, or rehearsal dinners. Venues include the center's main hall, which seats 400, its lower hall, which seats 175, and its fully-equipped kitchen, which is available for use by outside catering services. All rentals include use of the center's tables and chairs, house PA system, CD player, and satellite bar service.
