Moose Head Ranch was homesteaded in 1925 and has been a family-owned-and-run ranch since 1967, now in its third generation. There is space at the ranch for about 44 guests in the well-appointed, comfortable cabins scattered throughout the pines and cottonwoods. Many of the cabins have views of the trout ponds with most also featuring wood-burning stoves. All have ice delivered daily, small fridges, and coffee machines. You will also find hanging baskets with flowers on the porches. As you explore the property, you will notice plenty of wildflowers as well as well-tended planters. The lodge is the perfect place to enjoy early morning coffee by the fire. The deck has plenty of seating and is perfect for watching wildlife or enjoying nature. While at the ranch, those six years old and older can ride, or you can fish in the well-stocked ponds, hike, or play volleyball or softball. There is internet connectivity. Enjoy cookies and lemonade or have hors d’oeuvres and cocktails before a gourmet meal. The meals are delicious and have been featured in Gourmet Magazine. There are options at every meal via the buffets and choice of entrees. There are Sunday Night Cookouts and the chefs can accommodate dietary requests.
