The lodge shop also includes small items that guests may have forgotten to bring from home, including cameras, sunscreen, insect repellent, and sunglasses.

Fishing

The lodge was built around the local fishing community. The majority of the fishing is done via drift boat, so guests visiting do not need to bring waders. There are optional wading areas, however. Rental reels and rods can be checked out at the tackle shop. The brands featured are Lamson and Sage. Fishing licenses are mandatory and available to be purchased at the tackle shop on arrival. The best rod for the area is a 9 foot, 6 weight fishing rod.

Fishing can be done at one of three local rivers - South Fork Snake River, Teton River, and Henry’s Fork.

The South Fork Snake River encompasses about 60 miles of water that is mainly used for trout fishing (with over 5000 fish per square mile). There are thirteen separate access points to the river.

Teton River has many different types of water but is also perfect for trout fishing as well. Guests should be careful of the narrows area of the river, due to the potential for heavy rapids.

Henry’s Fork is another fork of the Snake River. This area is well-known for salmon fishing and can be crowded during salmon hatching season. Due to this, guests can actually reserve space at the main lodge.

Fishing Guides

Another part of the all-inclusiveness of Teton Valley is their commitment to providing the top fishing guides possible. Guides are able to help all different skill levels of guests, from novices to experts. Their primary goal is to help each fishing guest to the lodge achieve their personal best. All guides work entirely for the lodge and are educated and trained by fishing professionals. They can be reserved ahead of time and boast an 85% return rate due to their skills and personal attention to each guest.
