There are many destinations whose original charm and beauty become lost in the name of growth and development. This is definitely not the case with Vahine Island in French Polynesia. The resort's remote location and limited accommodations ensure guest privacy and enable the staff to maintain a very high level of service, making it the perfect hideaway for couples. Resort activities include snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, and volley ball.

Enjoy a bit of adventure on your honeymoon and rent a little motor boat and explore the lagoon and its "motus" (small barrier islands). Scuba diving is available in Tahaa or Raiatea, and deep sea fishing can also be arranged.

Rooms & Suites

The property has just 9 bungalows, three overwater "farés" (local style bungalows) on the lagoon, and six beach "fares." Book one of the overwater suites.

Where to Eat

The restaurant serves food which is a synthesis of local and traditional Ferench cusine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant. Try the Mahi Mahi steak, flavored with Tahaa vanilla, served with Igname (a local root vegetable) chips or the farm raised Chicken, stuffed with pota (a green leafy vegetable) and creamy curry and coconut sauce.

How to Get There

Fly to Tahiti and then to Bora Bora or Raitea, and finally on to Tahaa. From Tahaa, take a 30-minute boat ride to Vahine. Alternatively, you can fly by helicopter from Bora Bora.
