The River Maigue has a good stock of Wild Brown Trout and there are two private Brown Trout lakes on the property.

The hotel has three main accommodation options for guests: 63 rooms in the Manor House, 11 in the Clubhouse, and 23 Townhomes. The Manor House rooms are the most exclusive on the property and make this one of the best honeymoon vacation destinations in Europe. The Clubhouse rooms are right on the golf course and are therefore perfect for golfers. The Townhomes were opened in 1999 and are perfect for a family vacation or larger groups.
Where to Eat
Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner at the Oakroom, the main restaurant. Resident Head chef Mark Donohue and his staff prepare meals made from the best local Irish produce. A three minute walk from the Manor House, the Carraigehouse restaurant serves fine food in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the golf course.
Have afternoon tea in the Drawing Room, finish your evening with a drink and some live music in the Tack Room, and if you are still hungry you can always order room service.
Things to Do Nearby
Visit the picturesque village of Adare, browse some of the antique shops, visit the clothing boutiques, and get to know some locals over a pint in a local pub. Take a day trip to see the Cliffs of Moher on your honeymoon, which rise 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean.
How to Get to the Resort
The hotel is a 40-minute drive from Shannon International Airport. There are direct flights to Shannon from many cities, including Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, London and Orlando.

Opened in 1995, the Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed championship course traverses over 230 of the estate's 840 acres of lush Irish countryside. The front nine holes are dominated by a 14-acre lake, while the back nine are routed through wooded land. The intricate course design and superb putting surfaces will test players of all skill levels.
The 18,000 square foot clubhouse has men's and women's changing rooms, a pro-shop, a bar, a dining room, a conference center, and 11 bedrooms. If you prefer to be as close to the course as possible then the clubhouse rooms are for you. There are also 25 two and four-bedroom Townhomes located in an elegant courtyard adjacent to the clubhouse.
Caddies are available and are subject to availability. Metal spikes are not allowed on the course. You should consider one of the excellent packages offered by the hotel, which include tee times.
