The Luxury at Ali'i Tower

Ali'i Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village is a hotel within a hotel that received its name after the royalty of ancient Hawaii, the Ali'i. The plan was to create a luxury hideaway fit for a king and queen within the resort complex.

The Experience

After an efficient check-in in the smartly furnished lobby of the Ali'i Tower, we were escorted to our room with a large terrace and a view of the Pacific. The complimentary fresh tropical fruit was the perfect welcome amenity after our long flight from the East Coast.

The location of the tower couldn't be better. The hotel is right on the ocean, so you can easily visit the beach for a change of scenery.

Luxury Amenities

Among the the perks of staying at Ali'i Tower is access to a private pool and whirlpool, as well as complimentary hors d'oeuvres at the Oceanview Terrace each night. If you don't want to leave the tower in the morning, you can have continental breakfast there as well, although we prefer the ambiance of the the Rainbow Lanai.

You will receive preferential reservations and seating at the resort restaurants which comes handy during the peak season.

In addition to the private pool, the tower has its own Fitness Center with massage treatment rooms and sauna.

The Resort

Next to the tower is a penguin habitat where kids and grown-ups alike gather to watch twice daily feedings of penguins and turtles.

The resort grounds feature colorful gardens with statues and exotic wildlife. The open-air shops are another favorite among vacationers.

The Cost

Garden View rooms start at $269 per night, Ocean View rooms from $359, and Suites from $1,400.

Wedding Chapel

The wedding chapel is ideal for couples who dream of an elegant ceremony near the beach. The Ocean Crystal Chapel took nine months to build and cost $6 million dollars. The 85-seat chapel is the first free-standing resort chapel in Waikiki. Tropical plants and waterfalls surround the glass entrance. Smaller weddings can be held in the outdoor gazebo. Booking and wedding arrangements are handled by Best Bridal Hawaii, Inc., including hiring musicians and photographers. Hotel staff can provide food, beverage, and arrange special menus for private suites, resort restaurants and outdoor venues.
