The Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm in New Mexico, is an experience unlike most others, with 20 guest rooms, meeting and event space perfect for hosting and an actual working organic farm all on the same property. The property itself consists of 25 acres of land with a mix of giant cottonwood trees, flourishing gardens, and lavender fields.

Los Poblanos is one of New Mexico's most wonderful historic sites. Built in 1932, the Inn has been under the ownership of one family, the Rembe's, for over three generations. Guests will enjoy the private, secluded setting along with amazing architecture designed by John Gaw Meem, an internationally recognized architect. The 20 guest rooms at Los Poblanos Historic Inn were once the original residence on the property. Each room and suite features classic New Mexico décor, with original artworks, carved exposed wooden beam ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, and gorgeous hardwood flooring. A tasteful organic breakfast is included with each night's stay. In the bathroom, guests are treated to the Inn's own organic lavender spa amenities. There are three categories of rooms and suites to select from when reserving a stay at the Inn; Meem, Farm and Field.

Meem rooms are located in the original, historic hacienda which was designed by John Gaw Meem. These rooms feature tin light fixtures, lots of iron work and even hand plastered walls and fireplaces. The fireplaces are set daily for guests during the winter months. Classic Meem rooms are simple, comfortable accommodations with beautiful views of the courtyard. They are located close to the restaurant and living room of the Historic Inn. The Deluxe rooms are slightly more spacious with a king size bed as well as a pull out sofa located in a separate sitting area. The bathroom has a soaker tub and separate walk-in style shower. There are two Classic Suites, Field Suite and Simms Suite, which are located in the Inn's courtyard area and feature picturesque views of the gardens. There are two Deluxe Greely Suites, which boast their own private patio, hand-carved beds, kiva fireplaces and which open to the gardens. Farm rooms are located in a 1930's dairy style buildings which feature tin roofs and plastered, stucco walls. The interior of the rooms have been modernized with plain, simple décor. Each room has a wood-burning fireplace and gorgeous views of either the gardens, the lotus pond or the acequias. There are three types of Farm rooms or suites to choose from. The Deluxe Patio rooms boast a steel four poster king size bed with lots of space to roam. There is a sofa bed for additional sleeping accommodation. The private outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying the warm New Mexico sun.

The private bath has a separate tub and shower. Each of the Deluxe Patio rooms surround a courtyard area which features a fountain and view of the lotus pond. The Deluxe Suites consist of two rooms. They come with a king size bed, sofa bed as well as a separated living area. These suites boast a private, covered patio area with seating to enjoy the peaceful garden views. Guests can unwind in the soaker tub featured in the private bathroom. The Superior Suite is the most luxurious space the Inn offers, with a steel four poster king size bed, a living area complete with a sleeper sofa and its own private patio with garden views. This Suite goes above and beyond with a full kitchen featuring amenities such as fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. In the bathroom, guests will enjoy the walk-in shower or a long soak in the deep soaker tub.

Field Rooms will be available soon and will be housed in 1930's dairy style buildings, much like the Farm Rooms, located on the North and South pastures. They will provide guests with views of the fields, the Sandia Mountains and more. Several of the Field Rooms will include outdoor patios to enjoy the beautiful New Mexico sun as well.

There are many rooms and suites which feature a pull out sofa, perfect to accommodate two or three children. The Inn does not charge an additional person fee for children under 12. It is important to note, however, that rollaway beds are not available. Since breakfast is included with every stay, this is cost effective for families on vacation. Families will enjoy the scheduled farm tours and learning about how the organic farm is continuously run. The on-site restaurant at Los Poblanos Historic Inn is the finest in “farm to fork” dining in the Southwest. It is open daily for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and breakfast for two is included with every stay. Reservations are required for non-guests of the inn. Breakfast options change daily, however Farm Breakfast consisting of two eggs, toast and sausage or bacon is available everyday.

Throughout the week, guests will find dishes such as Los Poblanos Shakshouka—two poached eggs served in stewed tomatoes on top of potatoes mixed with feta and blue cheese, Carne Adovada—pork marinated in red Chile, with caramelized onions, potatoes and tortilla served with two eggs your way, Breakfast Tostada and many other delicious selections. Reservations are recommended for dinner and guests of the Inn are given first priority.

Non-guests will be considered upon availability. The restaurant offers a casual, yet fine-dining experience for guests to enjoy. The menu is comprised of fresh, locally grown foods including those grown right on the grounds plus additional foods from locally sourced farmers and herders. While the menu does change with the seasons, some selections guests may find include Green Chile Pork Meatballs, Lemon & Herb Chicken, Calabasitas Pasta and Vegetable Crudo.

Guests are invited to arrive a little early to their dinner reservations to enjoy cocktails in the Sala Grande living room. The laid back atmosphere of the living room encourages guests to mingle and enjoy good conversation over drinks. The cocktails are hand-crafted and even use farm-fresh ingredients. Los Poblanos Historic Inn provides the perfect backdrop for any wedding, with its acres and acres of land, rich New Mexico architecture and beautiful gardens and even the Sandia Mountains. Couples can hold their intimate wedding ceremonies as well as receptions at Los Poblanos without worry. The Grand Ballroom is ideal for receptions for up to 120 guests, or couples who wish to host a small, intimate gathering such as a cocktail reception, could opt for the Fireplace Terrace.

All of the rooms may be booked for use for one wedding, and this will allow for lodging of up to 65 people. It is important to note that Los Poblanos holds a beer and wine license only, therefore other alcohol spirits are not allowed. The on-site restaurant and chef will work with each couple to create a delectable menu for the reception, which will feature local, organic and sustainable foods.

Meetings, conferences, and other events are always welcome at the Inn. With the Inn's close proximity to downtown Albuquerque, business travelers will have everything they need at their doorstep, including a peaceful setting at the Inn. Those planning retreats will find the Inn has a package which is perfect for any group. The Corporate Wellness Retreat Package offers breakfast, light snacks, lunch, a three course dinner and all day drinks to each participant. Fireside meetings in the La Quinta Library will provide the perfect setting for conversation and listening in a relaxed, focused environment.

While there is not an on-site golf course at Los Poblanos Historic Inn, guests will find several golf courses in and around the area. Arroyo Del Oso is a public course, owned by the city, and features both an 18 hole course and an additional 9 holes called The Dam 9, for a grand total of 27 holes of golf. This course is perfect for intermediate to advanced players with three water obstacles, sand traps and rolling hills. The 18 hole course is a par 72 for men and 73 for women, while The Dam 9 is a par 36. Guests can rent clubs as well as golf carts at the course and there is also a Pro shop on-site for additional golf merchandise and equipment. There is an extensive recycling program in place, which has recycling bins placed throughout the entire property; the Inn uses only energy efficient lighting and reduced use of lighting during daytime hours; they use washable cloths and napkins in place of wasting paper products; the restaurant donates their cooking oil for the use of bio diesel and so much more. The entire property works to preserve the original architecture, the lush gardens, the working fields and the surrounding area.
