Located in Olympic National Park, the historic Lake Crescent Lodge rests on the north side of the Olympic Peninsula and offers a charming, turn-of-the-century wilderness escape. Built in 1915, the lodge features 55 comfortable, spacious guest rooms and cabins that are spread about among the hemlock and fir trees on the shores of the shimmering Lake Crescent. The lodge offers a variety of accommodation types, ranging from Historic Lodge Rooms and Marymere Motel Rooms to Singer Tavern Cottages and historical Singer Tavern Cottages. All accommodations are warm and inviting with comfy decor, modern conveniences and welcoming views. Some feature wood-burning fireplaces for added romance.
Surrounded by Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent Lodge has an array of outdoor and recreational activities to enjoy, from hiking and biking the endless trails around the park, to kayaking, canoeing, boating and fishing on the Lake. Located on the north side of Olympic Peninsula, Lake Crescent Lodge is situated just 25 miles southwest of Port Angeles, Washington and about 2.5 hours away from Seattle.

Lake Crescent Lodge offers a variety of accommodation types, including Historic Lodge Rooms, Storm King Motel Rooms, Marymere Motel Rooms, Pyramid Motel Rooms, Singer Tavern Cottages, and Roosevelt Fireplace Cabins. Cabins and guest rooms vary in size and layout, however, all feature cozy decor, modern conveniences and gorgeous forest or lake views. Some feature fireplaces, mini-fridge and microwaves.
Historic Lake Crescent Lodge Rooms are located on the second floor of the historic Lodge and beautifully decorated with smooth wooden floors and wood paneling finishes. These rooms feature one double bed with plush linens, comforters and soft pillows, private bathrooms with showers and fresh towels and lovely garden views from a central porch with Adirondack chairs.
Pyramid Mountain Rooms are located in a separate building nestled among the trees in Olympic National Park and offer extra levels of privacy, seclusion, and tranquility. These rooms feature two queen-size beds with plush linens, comforters, and soft pillows, and full bathrooms with walk-in showers and bathtubs. To maintain the serenity of the surrounding nature, there are no televisions or telephones, however, private porches offer the perfect place to relax and soak up the magnificent mountain views.

Singer Tavern Cottages are ideal for those wanting some more privacy. These one- and two-bedroom cottages have been designed to reflect the original cottages of 1915, taking guests back in time. The one-bedroom cottages feature two queen-size beds with plush linens, comforters and soft pillows, full bathrooms with walk-in showers and bathtubs and private porches with gorgeous views. The two-bedroom cottages feature two queen-size beds in one room and one queen-size bed in the other, full bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, living spaces with mini-fridges and private porches with stunning views.
Marymere Rooms are located in a building that rests on the shores of Lake Crescent and offers more contemporary accommodation but without televisions and telephones. These rooms feature two queen-size beds with plush linens, comforters and soft pillows, full bathrooms with walk-in showers and bathtubs, and private porches with inspiring mountain or lake vistas.
Storm King Rooms also offer a more contemporary experience, but without televisions and telephones. These rooms feature queen-size beds with plush linens, comforters, and soft pillows, bathrooms with walk-in showers only, and private porches or balconies with beautiful views.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Roosevelt Fireplace Cabins are cozy and inviting with wood-burning stone fireplaces and private porches with breathtaking mountain and lake views. Located along the shores of the lake, these one and two-bedroom cabins offer queen-size beds with plush linens, comforters and soft pillows, full and half bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, and cozy living areas with microwaves and mini-fridges. As with all the other accommodation, there are no televisions or telephones to create an authentic wilderness experience.
Lake Crescent Lodge has an onsite restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during theseason (April 29 to January 2) and offers creative Pacific Northwest fare in a relaxed, casual setting with beautiful lakefront views. Food is accompanied by award-winning wines from the Pacific Northwest regions, as well as craft beers and signature spirits.
4.Plan This Vacation
Olympic National Park is packed with things to see and activities to enjoy from wildlife watching to whitewater rafting. The Park offers excellent biking and hiking trails which wind through spectacular natural landscapes, such as the Olympic Discovery Trail and the Spruce Railroad, which hugs the north shore of Lake Crescent along an old railroad bed.
Lake Crescent is surrounded by a variety of both self-guided and guided hiking trails, some of which meander through the lowland forests and creeks, while others involved a bit of climbing. Favorite hiking trails in the Lake Crescent area include the Marymere Falls Trail, the Fairholme Campground Loop Trail, and the Moments-in-Time Trail.
Lake Crescent offers an array of water-based fun, such as kayaking, canoeing, boat cruises and fishing. Kayaks and canoes can be rented, and the lake provides some of the best fishing in the Pacific Northwest. The large, deep lake has incredible visibility and is home to the one-of-kind Beardsley Trout, and Crescenti Trout, which can be caught under strictly catch-and-release rules.
