The Museum of Aviation opened on Friday, 9th November, 1984, and soon became the second-largest aerospace museum of the United States Air Force. It is located in Warner Robins, Georgia, not far from the Robins Air Force Base. When the museum first opened, it had just 20 aircraft on display; however, another 20 aircraft were added soon after they were fully restored. The museum covers a total area of 51 acres and has five different buildings, where 93 aircraft are now on display.

This museum has gained a lot of attention over time and is among the most popular museums operated by the Department of Defense. This beautifully designed museum honors veterans and their families as well as inspires the current airmen and teaches them about honoring their Air Force heritage.
It was chartered under the state of Georgia in 1983 as a non-profit organization. Apart from displaying vintage and valuable aircraft that were among the best in their era, this museum also plays an important role in preserving the heritage of the United States Air Force. Moreover, it attracts more people towards the Air Force to educate and inspire them.
Visitors can explore the world of the Air Force through the different aircraft as well as other interesting exhibits. The highly trained, friendly, and cooperative staff at the Museum of Aviation give guided tours of the aircraft that emphasize their historic value. For those fascinated by fighter jets, the museum has a special treat as it offers an inside-plane experience in the famous C-130 Hercules. Inside the C-130, you would be shown a video of the different air missions this model was involved in.
You can also avail yourself of the Mission Quest Team Building Program, which allows you experience what it would feel like to fly a fighter jet. This includes training in a flight simulation lab and, to spice things up a bit, you also have the opportunity to engage in historical air combats. The simulation flights are monitored by live ATC the whole time, so it is important that you come prepared for the program.
The museum also has a huge open-air space that can be rented out at reasonable prices to host various events, including business meetings, school events, wedding receptions, product launch events, and more. The space is quite big and can easily accommodate up to 500 people.
