The majority of North Georgia during the early part of the 1800’s was Cherokee land, with the cities of today simply being crossroad communities and trading posts. While the community of Johns Creek existed for quite some time, it didn’t get its name until the early 1980’s. Johns Creek, Georgia now offers several unique attractions for visitors, including protected outdoor recreation areas, interesting heritage sites, a nature preserve, a craft brewery, and more. The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center is a particular highlight of the community, offering an educational, yet fun experience for people of all ages. CDC information for travelers.
