Established back in 1786, the town of Greensboro, Georgia is the home of the scenic Lake Oconee and is the county seat of Greene County. The Oconee Brewing Company, located near Lake Oconee in the historic town of Greensboro, produces craft beer within a former cotton mill warehouse. Inside this renovated building is a tasting room where visitors can sample an array of craft brews and a retail production facility. The brewery also offers public tours of the brewing facility. The Oconee Brewing Company tasting room is open from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday and Friday, as well as from noon until 10:00pm on Saturdays. The brewery also includes a 3,600-square-foot Event Center features an outdoor patio and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall.

The Greensboro Antique Mall is the place in town for all of visitors’ antique needs. This unique shopping destination was established by Charles Davis back in 1860 and offers an expansive, quality selection of antiques in Georgia’s Lake Oconee region. Noted on the National Register of Historic Places, the Greensboro Antique Mall is the region’s largest antique store and features more than fifty dealers selling a wide array of items. The sprawling antique store, measuring approximately 11,000 square feet, is typically open Monday to Saturday from 10:00am until 5:30pm and on Sundays from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
