Adventure Island in Tampa Bay, Florida is a SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment waterpark with Slides, a lazy river, Lagoon, Rapids, splash parks, and beach volleyball. Adventure Island is a waterpark features attractions such as many different slides, lazy river, lagoons, and sand volleyball.
Located in Tampa Bay, Florida, Adventure Island is a SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment property and associated with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay although ticketing for both properties are separate.
Adventure Island has different hours throughout the season with longer hours as the weather is warmer. Updates park hours can be found on Adventure Island website. No outside food or beverages, other than water, are allowed in the park and all minors under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. There are lifeguards on duty. There are also cabana’s available to rent for the day, lockers, and Chickee Huts.
Passes to Adventure Island can be purchased as a daily or annual pass. Tickets can be purchased online with discounts being offered to visitors who purchase tickets to other parks at the same time such as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and/or Aquatica. Tickets to Adventure Island can also be purchased at the gate.
The main attraction at Adventure Island is the water park. There are several slides, pools and Sand activities for families to enjoy.
Colossal Curl- The newest thrill slide that hurtles riders through 30 acres of water high above Adventure Island.
Aruba Tuba- Ride with a partner on an inflatable through this crazy slide that is super-fast.
Endless Surf- The wave pool is 17000 square feet with varying depths and wheelchair accessibility.
Calypso Coaster- Riders must be under 300 pounds to ride singly and combined weight of 600 pounds on a double ride on this slide that is accessed through a platform tower.
Caribbean Corkscrew- This slide takes riders on lots of twists and turns. Sliders must be able to control their own body position to slide.
Everglides- Sliders race down a 72-foot slide on a toboggan before hydroplaning another 60 feet across the pool. Sliders must be 48 inches tall.
Key West Rapids- 700 feet of scary slopes, water mines, twists and turns are featured on this thrill slide that ends in a giant splash pool. Sliders under 54 inches must wear a life vest.
Paradise Lagoon- Cliff dive from a 20-foot platform and tackle the obstacle course in this 9,000 square foot pool featuring slides, waterfalls, and water challenges. Some areas of the Lagoon have height requirements and it is suggested that weak swimmers and young children wear life vests.
Rambling Bayou- This half mile lazy river takes floaters on a tube through a lush, rainforest landscape with waterfalls, rain and fog. The ride is quiet, relaxing, and cool.
Riptide- This thrill slide requires all sliders to be at least 42 inches as they race side by side down a 55-foot slide in an enclosed tube.
Spike Zone- A giant sand pit with 6 volleyball courts and a grass covered seating area.
Splash Attack- This splash park features a wooden bucket that dumps 1000 gallons of water, 500 feet of flumes and tubes to race through that gush with water, a tree house with water toys and all sorts of other interactive playground equipment that uses water. This splash park is suitable for all ages.
Runaway Rapids- climb to the top of the 34-foot mountain before choosing one of five slides for a high-speed ride to the splash pool below. Some slides do not allow life vests and only 2 slides are suitable for parent/child riders.
Wahoo Run- Board a raft that seats 5 that travels 20 feet per second through a 600-foot tunnel with waterfalls ensuring riders get completely soaked before landing in the pool. 800 lbs. maximum per raft.
Water Moccasin- There are 3 different enclosed tubes that are part of this slide that curves and delivers a high-speed rush to the splash pool.
Fabians Fun Port- The scaled down splash park features a water safe jungle gym, springs of water, spray jets, and other water fun suitable for younger children.
Shopping and Dining
At Adventure Island, visitors planning to stay all day can participate in an all-day dining pass which allows you to go through the line once per hour at Surfside Café and Mango Joe’s. There are also several places at the waterpark where you can buy individual meals and snacks including:

At the Island Surf Shop, visitors can find beach wear and accessories, swim diapers, souvenirs, gifts, and more.
