The front nine are open with a links-style design that celebrates the heritage of St. Augustine. The back nine are designed in a more traditional Florida sense with pine trees, 200-year-old oak trees and various water elements.
Architect Bobby Weed, along with Hall of Fame Golfers Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen, designed the Slammer & Squire course. The tee off is located under the World Golf Hall of Fame for added challenge and excitement. This course set out to challenge golfers but still preserve the natural beauty of the area. It features lush scenery with many unspoiled forested areas and wetlands. It is a very well groomed course with a few water hazards and amazing views of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
