Located approximately 25 minutes away, World Golf Village is a haven for all things golf. There is the World Golf Hall of Fame to explore and marvel at, plus two professionally designed golf courses where you can play like the pros.

Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus collectively designed the King & Bear, a 7279-yard championship course. It is a course with a mixture of two designs. The front nine are open with a links-style design that celebrates the heritage of St. Augustine. The back nine are designed in a more traditional Florida sense with pine trees, 200-year-old oak trees and various water elements.

Architect Bobby Weed, along with Hall of Fame Golfers Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen, designed the Slammer & Squire course. The tee off is located under the World Golf Hall of Fame for added challenge and excitement. This course set out to challenge golfers but still preserve the natural beauty of the area. It features lush scenery with many unspoiled forested areas and wetlands. It is a very well groomed course with a few water hazards and amazing views of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

If playing championship style golf is a bit too daunting, guests can enjoy a leisurely game of mini golf at Bayfront Mini Golf, located beside Bridge of Lions just down the road from Bayfront Westcott House. It is the oldest mini golf course in St. Augustine, having opened in 1949. It has been fully restored to bring back the original charm and is a perfect mini golf course for the whole family to enjoy. It is located right on the Ripley’s Red Train Tour route for easy access.

Since the motto at Bayfront Westcott House Bed & Breakfast is “Ask and you shall receive,” they are more than happy to entertain requests regarding small, intimate weddings or elopements on-site. The Main House living area is the perfect setting for a small, yet elegant ceremony with the antiquated fireplace and historic décor. The happy couple can take advantage of the many romantic rooms available to celebrate their wedding night and even their honeymoon.

For Bride and Groom only occasions, the room rate is included. However, they must arrange for their own officiant. Referrals are available to brides and grooms who are unfamiliar with the area. Extra guests are welcome to attend these ceremonies, but they must rent a room as well. In-room, the bride and groom will find keepsake champagne flutes and lush bathrobes for use during their stay. They will also receive breakfast in bed one morning of their stay.

For larger weddings, the entire inn can be reserved. Weekday pricing is available versus slightly higher weekend rates. The prices do not include service or gratuities. Photos can be taken on the grounds of the house as well as along the bay across the street.

Upon arrival, all guests are immediately treated to a beverage of their choice and given all the information they will need to make decisions about entertainment, dining, attractions, and more. Guests will then be taken to their room and their luggage will be brought to them.

If guests choose to proceed with any reservations or program bookings, the innkeeper will be happy to oblige. Each Monday and Wednesday evening a guest speaker or storyteller hosts the social hour at Bayfront Westcott House. They are there to share stories and legends about St. Augustine, Florida. Past guests rave about these story talks.

Since Bayfront Westcott House Bed & Breakfast is meant to be a quiet getaway, it is best suited for adult travellers. However, guests over the age of 12 are welcome. Because of this reason, there are no specific family services or Kids Club to mention.
