The Island Grove Wine Company, Hawthorn was established in 2010 to ensure that good use was made of excess blueberries grown for the fresh-fruit market. What started off as a sideline has expended to become a full-blown winery which now produces sixteen different berry and fruit wines (with more varieties in the pipeline). Some of the signature wines you can look forward to sampling include their Beery Dry Blackberry, Black and Blue and the sweet and exotic Blueberry Moscato. Visitors are very welcome to visit the winery facility for a free tour and tasting from Monday to Friday (Closed on weekends).
