You can bring the family to enjoy a great day out in the country at Henscratch Farms Vineyard and Winery, Lake Placid where nine varieties of delicious wine are produced from native Muscadine and Scuppernong grapes. You can taste the wines at the Farm Store, where many wine-related items are for sale alongside fresh free-range eggs, farm honey and much more. If you visit during harvest season you and the children can enjoy picking your own strawberries, blueberries and enormous bunches of sweet and juicy grapes. Try not to miss the annual Grape Stomp Festival in August for chance to stomp the grapes and have loads of country-style fun.
