Visitors who are looking forward to a day of retail therapy need look no further than Sawgrass Mills, one of the largest outlet shopping malls in the US. The mall, which takes its name from the attractive sawgrass plant which is commonly found all over the Everglades, is built in an alligator shape and divided into three areas to make navigation a little easier. You can look forward to picking up some wonderful bargains from your favorite big-name brands like Nike, Ralph Lauren, Old Navy and many more. When you need a break from shopping you can relax and enjoy a snack at one of several food outlets or catch a movie.

The primary tool used to observe the magnificent solar system is a 14-inch reflecting telescope, and a sophisticated remote mechanism is used to manipulate the observatory roof dome. Based on a desire to serve “elevated American bistro fare”, the Matchbox chain of restaurants started with a single location in Washington DC in 2002. As proof that their concept is popular, the chain has expanded to 10 other locations, including the Sawgrass Mill in Sunrise. The mainstay of their restaurant will always be their perfectly-prepared wood-fired pizzas, but they also serve a selection of other American bistro favorites including hamburgers, salads and whatever the chef deems to be a good “Dish of the Day”. The chain sources as many ingredients as possible from local suppliers in each area, which means your meal is as fresh as it gets.
