The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is a fun attraction for young and old. The museum brings together a wonderful collection of vintage vehicles, many of which were considered the epitome of modern technology, back in their hey-day. These include pioneering vehicles with rear engines and front-wheel drives from the 1920’s and 1930’s. Almost all the vehicles in the collection were designed by leading engineers in the motor industry and each and every one represented a giant step forward for the industry. One of the highlights of the collection is a French 1770 Fardier de Cugnot, which was the first ever self-propelled vehicle.

The Pinellas Trail (Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail) is a 45-mile rail trail which runs from St. Petersburg in the south to Tarpon Springs in the north. The trail follows a section of abandoned railroad and is a popular recreational facility for walkers, hikers and cyclists. Some cyclists even use the trail to commute to work between Pinellas Park and various other towns which lie alongside the trail. Currently there are plans afoot to extend the trail and the first section of the extension opened in October 2020, adding 9 miles to the original trail. By the end of 2022 visitors will have access 75 miles of trails circling Pinellas County.
