Often described as the "Little Paris of Middle Europe," Hungary's capital Budapest is famous for its beautiful architecture and monuments that echo the city's 1,000-year-old culture, the relics and remains of Romans, Turks, and other cultures that settled here, and its panoramic vistas. Bisected by the River Danube, the city is divided into two sides, Buda and Pest, which stretch along the banks of the river and represent the two different characters of the city.
