Commerce City, CO is located in Adams County in Colorado and is a northern suburb of Denver. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is a 15,988-acre national wildlife refuge just eight miles northeast of downtown Denver that is home to more than 330 species of wildlife. Established on the grounds of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, which was built in 1942 to manufacture chemical weapons and later cleared of all the pollutants, the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge offers a habitat for a wide range of animals, including deer, coyote, bison, racoons, black-tailed prairie dogs, black-footed ferrets, and a winter communal roost of bald eagles.

2.Dick's Sporting Goods Park

Dick's Sporting Goods Park, also known as DSG Park, is the largest state-of-the-art soccer complex worldwide and home to the MLS Colorado Rapids soccer team and the Colorado Rapids Development Academy. The sports park boasts 22 full-size, fully-lit natural grass sports fields and two synthetic turf fields and has a seating capacity for 18,061 people for soccer games and up to 27,000 for concerts. The grounds have full lighting for both day and nighttime use and can be used for a variety of sports, including soccer, rugby, flag football, Gaelic games (hurling, Gaelic football), kickball, dodgeball, and frisbee. Dick’s Sporting Goods Park also hosts a range of clinics, camps, tournaments and events throughout the year and has several spaces that can be hired for private events for up to 18,000 people with full catering and beverage areas.

3.Forney Museum of Transportation

The Forney Transportation Museum is dedicated to the history of transport and focuses on everything with wheels. Named after the founder of Forney Industries, Inc. in Fort Collins, J.D. Forney, the Forney Museum of Transportation has a collection of over 600 artifacts and objects relating to historical transportation from automobiles and motorcycles to steam locomotives, bicycles, and sleighs. Founded over 60 years ago, the museum has collected and displays some of the world’s most interesting modes of transport, including Amelia Earhart's 1923 Kissel 'Gold Bug', a Stutz Fire Engine, a Union Pacific 'Big Boy' Steam Locomotive #4005, an 1888 Denver Cable Car, and an 1817 Draisenne Bicycle. Other exciting features include a 1913-53 Indian Motorcycle collection and a 500 Piece Matchbox collection.

6.88 Drive-In Theatre

The 88 Drive-In Theatre is an old-school drive-in with a sizeable drive-up movie screen and a snack bar selling light fare and drinks. Open seasonally, the theater shows current films in summer on the giant screen with a state-of-the-art digital projector and 35mm film capabilities. Cars are parked according to height and sound is streamed on any working FM radio station. The friendly staff serves food and drinks to patrons in their automobiles, or they can help themselves at the counter-style snack bar. Located on 88th Avenue just off I-76, the 88 Drive-In Theatre is the last of its kind in the Denver area and feature films every night of the week.

Balistreri Vineyards is a cozy, family-run winery with a wine cellar, tasting room, restaurant, and an event center for private functions. Owned by the Balistreri family who immigrated from Sicily to the United States in the early 1900s, the winery is still operated by the family and produces around 6000 cases of wine each year. The estate uses age-old traditions and hand-harvested grapes from selected top single vineyard sites across Colorado to create approachable, easy-drinking wines, including whites, reds and dessert wines.
