Tawse Winery is located on the Niagara Escarpment’s lower slopes and is a family-run biodynamic and organic winery established in 2000. The fruit used in the Tawse wines are harvested by hand from the vineyard’s low-yield vines and then hand-sorted to ensure only the highest quality wine is produced. Wines made at Tawse Winery include chardonnay, Riesling, pinot noir, merlot, cabernet franc, and icewine. The winery produces one of the Niagara region’s largest portfolios of biodynamic and organic wines. Tawse was also named the “Canadian Winery of the Year” in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
