While Pondview Estate Winery may be one of the Niagara-on-the-Lake area’s newer wineries, it is perhaps one of the most steeped in the traditions of the Old World. When winery owner Lou Puglisi’s father, Giuseppe, emigrated to Canada, he brought along his knowledge of growing grapes and then handed it down to his son. The winery is relatively new, however, and so its portfolio is still quite small. Nevertheless, these wines have already been winning awards. Visitors are likely to be taken on a tour and served wine samples by a member of the Puglisi family.
