The Broad is one of the most reputed museums in the city of Los Angeles. The museum is named after the great philanthropist Eli Broad, who donated$140 million to build the architectural structure that houses the art collections. The Broad contains over 2,000 art pieces, with more than 250 paintings exhibited in its inaugural exhibitions. These collections also preserve post-war archaeology as well as various prehistoric artifacts, such as weaponry. Visitors may also donate items to the museum's library to help preserve them for future generations.

Opening Hours and Entry Fees

The museum is open from 11:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It is closed every Monday. Saturday’s opening hours are from 10:00am to 8:00pm and on Sundays it is open from 10:00am to 6:00pm. It is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. It closes at 5:00pm on Christmas Eve.

The Broad is a non-profit organization and was created to increase people’s knowledge of art. There are no general entry fees. However, free tickets must be reserved in advance in order to be guaranteed entry.

Parking is available for visitors and costs $12 on weekdays. The Gift Shop at The Broad features books, limited edition prints,jewelry, gifts, and The Broad's catalogs on the building and the collection, and much more.
