The museum provides a rich and detailed history of both vintage and modern cars as well as the ideas behind their creation. Various events, such as low-rider car shows, movie nights, and photography seminars, are also held in the museum. The museum furthermore provides various public and student programs in order to help spread the history of automobiles and show how they have shaped the modern world.
In this beautifully arranged museum, you get the chance to observe many varieties of automobiles, including everything from three-wheelers to sports cars; both the 1886 Benz and the 2015 McLaren P1 can be seen in the same display! The collection also consists of a number of modern Formula 1 racing cars and various speedy motorcycles. If you find that viewing all these fast cars is making you hungry, head to the restaurant on the 1st floor, which serves up some delicious Italian food.

Opening Hours and Entry Fees
The museum operates 7 days a week, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is also open on New Year’s Day.
The Mechanical Institute and Forza Motorsport Racing Experience are open 30 minutes before the museum opening. The visiting fees for children are $7, whereas it is $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens and students. It is best to have advanced reservations in place.
The parking is free for the first 30 minutes in the Petersen Automotive Museum car park. After that, it will cost you $12. Various racing suits and exclusive posters are available in the shop for a reasonable price if you would like to take something back home with you to remind you of your day.
