Review & FAQ:

Bare Back Grill was inspired by a surf trip the owner took to New Zealand where he fell in love with dishes made of fresh, local ingredients. He first opened Bare Back Grill in 2005 in the laid-back surfer community of Pacific Beach.

The menu of American-style fare highlights burgers from grass-fed beef, ground fresh and handmade daily, then sandwiched between organic buns pulled straight from the oven each morning. Diners can choose from a wide variety of innovative burgers like the Bare, Big & Dirty – two huge beef patties, fried eggs, thick slices of cheese, beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion. Finally, it's topped with homemade sweet tomato chutney and garlic aioli.
