The hotel offers over 700 guestrooms and 77 suites. For the guestroom accommodation, visitors can choose to stay in the Fairmont Room, the Deluxe Room, or the Signature Room. All three guest rooms come with air conditioning and a climate control option, alarm clocks, bathrobes, coffee makers for morning coffee or tea, an ironing board, and mini bar. At 450 square feet in size, the Fairmont Room includes one king, one queen, or two double beds and is best for one or two guests. Guests also get to enjoy a walk-in shower and tub in an oversized bathroom and many other amenities. These amenities include a television, work desk, high speed internet, and views of the Santa Cruz Mountains or city skyline from their windows.
Another guest room option is the Deluxe Room. This room is the same size as the Fairmont Room and offers the same amenities but also includes private building access, an in room safe, CD player, and temperature controls in the suite. Guests of the Deluxe room can choose from one king, one queen, or two double beds. This suite also offers views of either the Santa Cruz Mountains or the city skyline, the view all depends where on the floor the suite is situated. Lastly, for guest rooms, travelers can choose to stay in the Signature room. This is one of the fancier guest room options with direct access to the outdoor swimming pool and a private outdoor patio that features a lounge chair, two other chairs, and a coffee table. As for suites and specialty rooms, guests can choose from a plethora of rooms. The Fairmont San Jose offers a Junior Suite, One Bedroom Suite, Deluxe King Suite, Fairmont Luxury Suite, and the International, Presidential and Signature Suites to its guests. All suites include air conditioning, alarm clocks, bathrobes, cable television, coffee makers, ironing board, a refreshment section, as well as a telephone, work desk, and high speed internet connection just like the guest rooms.
The suites range from 500 square feet to almost 2,000 square feet in size. The Junior suite, which is the smallest suite, comes with one king sized bed, two double beds or two queen beds, and a walk-in closet with plenty of space to store one’s clothes and other travel gear. This suite includes a walk-in shower and separate bath tub and a seating area with a loveseat, coffee table, and dining room table where guests can enjoy in-room service or take-out with family or friends. The one-bedroom suite can sleep up to four people but comfortably accommodates up to six people in its parlor area. With a large television, working desk, speakerphone, sofa and comfortable chairs, the parlor is the perfect place to get work done. For an even more extravagant suite experience, guests must check out the luxury suites. The Fairmont Luxury Suite and International Luxury Suite are over 1800 square feet in size and can sleep up to four guests between the king sized bed and sofa bed in the parlor room. Both feature a whirlpool tub, a seating area in the bedroom, as well as a cozy fireplace, coat closet, powder rooms, and dining room table. With so much space, guests of these suites can accommodate up to 40 people in the Fairmont luxury suite and 50 people in the international luxury suite. The Fairmont San Jose offers a variety of restaurants to its guests. Everything from sushi to a delicious steakhouse, the restaurant has it all. To name a few, the Fairmont San Jose has the Fountain restaurant, The Grill on the Alley, Mccormick&Schmick’s and Takai Sushi and Sake on site, as well as a bakery and cafe called Bijan Bakery. The Fountain restaurant is a traditional American breakfast and lunch spot, that serves a large buffet and a la carte menu. Reservations for the Fountain restaurant are recommended. Also, on site is the Grill on the Alley which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is known for its incredible steak and chops.

As for Seafood lovers, they should check out Mccormicks & Schmicks. Mccormicks & Schmick’s offers over 30 species of fish on its lunch and dinner menus which are caught daily from the Pacific Ocean and other regions of the world. Some notable dishes include the almond crusted rainbow trout served with butternut squash orzo, and the seared sea scallops, served with roasted corn hash and avocado cilantro lime puree. The menu also has chicken, steak, and salad entrees for those who are looking for something other than seafood. As for sushi, the Takai sushi and sake restaurant is the place. Open for dinner, Takai offers a variety of sashimi starters, as well as items like edamame, wakame salad and over ten different maki sushi rolls as a main course.
